From 15-19 January 2012 the president and founder of KOARP participated as a Duhok Veterinary Directorate deputy participated in the workshop on: workshop on:” Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (Cites): held by Iraqi  Ministry of  Environment and cooperation with International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and  Nature Iraq Organization in Sulaimania- Kurdistan Region.

On28 September2011 The president of KOARP Dr. Sulaiman  T.Saeed present a short seminar about World Rabies Day in Sweden technical Institutes in Bouras to all Iraqi participate in TBT training course .

On15 September2011  The president of KOARP  Visited the SKansen -Bergbanan Animal Zoo in Stockholm ,in this visiting he get many information’s about all animals ,housing ,feeding, tack care and treatment ,this information’s was help our animal zoo to develop in future .

On5 October2011 the president of KOARP visited the World Society for the protection of Animals welcomed by Mr. Roger Pettersson a General secretary of WSPA, a binging Dr. Sulaiman present a presentation about KOARP‘s activities, animal rights low in Iraq, challenge that forbid development of animal rights, extinction of many species of animal specially wild animal around all Iraq difficulty of founding donors and animals status ad after that Mr. .Roger present about WSPA work around the world.

On 6 October2011 the president of KOARP visited the Animal Welfare Sweden welcomed by Ms .Fanny LundWall. A Vice of Asa Hagelstedt  a General Secretary  of AWS, a binging Dr. Sulaiman present a presentation about KOARP‘s activities, animal rights low in Iraq, challenge that forbid development of animal rights, difficulty of founding donors and animals status ad after that Ms .Fanny LundWall present about AWS;s workin Sweden and she promise to help KOARP and make a relationship with others organization in Sweden .

Under the slogan “PROTECTING KURDISH MEREZ GOAT IN 2012″


The Kurdistan Organization of Animal Rights Protection(KOARP) in cooperation with Directorate of veterinary in Duhok province (DOV)  and in attends  of  deputy of Duhok governor and representative off ministry of  Agriculture & Water Resources, celebrate (WORLD ANIMAL DAYS 2011) for the third time in Iraq. The celebration includes:-

1.     A documentation film on animals threatens of extinction.

A seminar on factors affecting animal’s resource in Iraq and especially in Kurdistan region and factors affecting the famous local Kurdish merez goat breed, run by Dr. Sulayman Temar president of (KOARP).
