Meeting on Animal Rights Protection Law Draft in Kurdistan

0n 21 October 2012 Dr.Sulaiman Visited Kurdistan Parliament /Duhok Office and welcomed by Zakia Khan Said Salih A head of Kurdistan Parliament /Duhok office, the meeting was on the draft of Animal Rights law in Kurdistan that was prepared by KOARP before 2.5 Years ago, the discussion was very positive and on the end of meeting  the head of Duhok office promised to pressure on her friends in parliament to approve this project.

World Animal Day 2012 in Iraq- Kurdistan Region-Duhok Province

On 4 October 2012 Kurdistan organization for animal rights Protection (KOARP) in coordination with:

Directorate of Veterinary in Duhok Province

General directorate of agriculture,

Faculty of agriculture and forestry

celebrate the world animal day 2012, the event include the ceremony of opening the project of developing the merez (Marino) Kurdish goat in the faculty of agriculture and forestry by Dr.Hameed Bavii the Iraqi Parliament member , this project was sponsored by the governor of Duhok and expected to rise 200 head of goats later on to be distributed to selected animal breeders, many people of high local authorities in the governorate present the   opening

and  after that  all participants lessened to a few seminars presented by Dr.Sulaiman T.Saeed on project of developing the merez (Marino) Kurdish goat , new research on Kurdish goat on Duhok Province by Prof. Jallal Al-Qass And the last one on characteristics features of the angora goat presented by Dr.Ronak Shaber.al this activities  take part in the faculty of veterinary medicine .The participants are from the local media, NGOs, local authorities, veterinarians, and farmers.

Fainaly the participants  choose the Kurdish Hoarse a 2013 animals to protect him from extinction.

Interview on Badinan Sat about Animal Rights Law in Kurdistan

On 1 November 2012  Dr. Sulaiman T.Saeed was invited to interview  by lawyer  Mr.Haval  in Badinan sat channel( Tarazi-Balance or Scales  show ) about animal rights law in kurdistan’s draft that prepared before by koarp and sent to parliament2.5 years and explained all  article of law and why delay until now and explained the importance of each articls.on the end of show the program manager present a logo of Badinan sat channel to Dr.sulaiman as animal rights activeman.

World Rabies Day in Kurdistan

On 28th September Dr.sulaiman Tamer a president and founder of KOARP participate the event of celebration of World Rabies Day i 2012 that was held by Directorate of Veterinary in Duhok Province, Dr.sulaiman present a seminar about Kurdistan situation of stray dogs and new moderent  ways of how to control it without kill and poisoning.

Dr.sulaiman pointed some points that it’s not enough to kill animals but they need love, mercy and tack care.

Starting Project of Rescues Kurdish Goat(Maraz) in Kurdistan

Finally On 15th September 2012 on Duhok province the KOAR’s project of Rescues Kurdish Goat(Maraz) was started  on farm of agriculture faculty ,the partnerships of this project are :

1- Kurdistan Organization for Animal Rights Protection.

2- General Agriculture Directorate.

3- Faculty of Agriculture.

4- Faculty of Veterinary.

5- Veterinary Directorate.

The plan of project are:

1-    Breeding 200 head of goat (190 female and 10 mal) in agriculture faculty farm for (5) years.

2-    Female newborn will breeding for one year and distribution to poor family in villages.

3-Meal new borne will sell and buy female.

young Donkey need Home and adoption


On19 September 2012 one guy on hes way found the very small young donkey ( one month on age) on street as a stray animal without her mother but unfortunately on other side of road he found the carcass of her mother die by car accident, the person directly contact me to find a way to feeding the donkey and find adoption , therefore now the young donkey was under our control and on needing home and adoption..please if any one need to adoption please contact with me on mobil number : 4581805

AS MEDIA RELEAS BY MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE & WATER RESOURCES / GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF ANIMAL WEALTH & VETERINARY, ABOUT KILLING (5000) STRAY DOGS OVER ALL THE FOUR GOVERNORATES (ERBIL, SULAYMANIYA ,GARMIAN & DUHOK) DURING THE PERIOD OF 1/1/2012 TILL 30/8/2012 IN ORDER TO CONTROL STRAY DOGS AND TO PROTECT CITIZENS FROM ZOONOTIC DISEASES TRANSFORMED BY STRAY DOGS TO HUMAN.FEW DAYS AGO A REGRETABLE ACCIDENT HAPEND TO THREE OF OUR INNOCENT CHILDREN IN THE CAPITAL HAWLER DUE TO DOG BITE,WHICH CAUSES DEATH TO THOSE CHILDREN,AND FOR THIS REASON WE AS KURDISTAN ORGANIZATION FOR ANIMAL RIGHTS PROTECTION (KOARP) HAVE SOME ASPECTS ON THIS SUBJECT:

  1. EXTENDING OUR DEEP CONDOLENCE TO THE PARENTS OF THE THREE CHILDREN AND PARTICEPATE IN THE GRIEF AND GOD HELP THEM.
  2. WE REQUEST FROM RELATIVES INSTITUTIONS TO MAKE AN INVESTIGATION TO THE CHILDREN’S DEATH AND KIND OF TREATMENT POST TO BE BITTENED BY THE DOG.IF THERE IS ANY NEGLECTION SINCE THE DOG BITE IS NOT THE ONLY CAUSE OF DEATH IN MANY CASES.
  3. TODAY KURDISTAN ARE ORIENTED TOWARD BECOME A STATE AND UNDER INSPECTION OF HUGE POLITICIANS, EDUCATED AND THOUGHTFULS, WHICH THEY ASSESSMENT OUR PROCESS OVER ALL PHASES ESPECIALLY: MINORITY RIGHTS, CHILDREN RIGHTS, WAMAN EMANCIPATION, PRISONERS ….ECT AND ANIMAL RIGHTS PROTECTION, THIS ARE STRONGLY BEEN WATCHED IN THE GLOBAL CONGREGATIONS.
  4. SOME COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD HAD BEEN SUFFERED FROM THE SAME PROBLEM BEFORE, AND THEY DO THE SAME LIKE US (KILLING STRAY DOGS BY USING GUNS AND CHEMICAL WEAPONS) BUT OF COURSE THEY LIFTBHINDE AND REPLACED BY SCIENTIFIC METHODS.
  5. KILLING STRAY DOGS BY USING GUN POISONS (STREGNIN) ARE FORBIDANCE IN THE WORLD IN OUTHER SIDE THIS REMEMBERING OUR KURDS PEOPLE ABOUT “ANFAL AND CHEMICAL WEAPONS PROCESS AND HALBCHA AND BRINGS FEAR TO OUR PEOPLE SPECIALY CHILDREN.
  6. DEALING WITH STRAY DOGS THROUGH THIS OLD & UNHUMAN PROCESS, NEEDS CAPITAL AND IS USELESS BUT THE NUMBER OF STRAY DOGS ARE INCREASED DAY BY DAY AS RESEARCHS SAY THAT.
  7. TO GET BENEFIT FROM OUR LOCAL STRAY DOGS IN MINE DETECTION, DRUGS, AS GUARDS AND FOR SHEPHERD.
